Local SEO for clinics in Georgetown, Round Rock and the Austin metro

Local SEO for a clinic is the work that puts your practice in the Google map pack and the regular results when a patient nearby searches for what you offer. ClinicRankPro does the six parts that move those results: Google Business Profile, citations, reviews, technical health, service pages and tracking. Map pack movement typically shows in 60 to 90 days.

What does local SEO for a clinic include?

Six things, done together, because each one feeds the others. A profile with the right categories but no reviews does not rank; reviews without a fast, indexable website do not convert; a good website that Google cannot connect to your profile gets no map pack credit.

PartWhat we doWhy it matters
Google Business ProfileCorrect primary category and secondary categories per service, services with descriptions, 750-character description, 10+ photos with new uploads every month, posts, Q&A seeded, booking link, holiday hoursThe profile is the single biggest factor in the map pack. Most clinics list one category; competitors list six.
Citations and entity consistencyApple Maps, Bing Places, Yelp, Healthgrades, Zocdoc, Vitals, Facebook, insurance and association directories, all with the same name, address, phone and description; old addresses removedGoogle and AI assistants trust a practice described the same way everywhere. Stale listings cost you rankings and send patients to the wrong door.
ReviewsA request system that asks every patient by SMS or email within 24 hours, wording that prompts patients to mention the treatment and how costs were explained, replies to every review within 48 hoursReview count, recency and what the reviews say all rank you. Reviews with detail are also what AI assistants match against.
Technical healthHTTPS, mobile usability, Core Web Vitals, indexability, broken links, sitemap, clickable phone numbers, working forms, security baseline, AI crawler accessA slow or broken site loses rankings and patients. Blocking issues are fixed in the first two weeks.
Service pages and contentOne page per major service written to the answer-first pattern: direct answer, question headings, cost and insurance block, comparison table, FAQ with schema, provider as reviewerOne “Services” page cannot rank for implants, Invisalign and emergency care at once. Each service needs its own page that answers real patient questions.
Tracking and reportingGA4, Search Console, call tracking, weekly geo-grid rank tracking, AI mention tracking, a frozen baseline, a monthly report by the 5thWithout a baseline nothing can be proven. Every report compares to day one.

How does the method work?

Audit, baseline, fix the blockers, then a fixed monthly cycle. It is the same sequence for every clinic so nothing is skipped and every step is checkable.

  1. Audit. Eleven blocks scored 0–10 and weighted into a health score out of 100: profile, local rankings on a geo-grid, technical, on-page, schema, content, citations, reviews, competitors, tracking, and AI search readiness. This is the free Local Search Health Report.
  2. Baseline. Before any change goes live we freeze geo-grid results, profile calls and direction requests, review count and velocity, traffic, Search Console clicks, page speed, and what AI assistants say about you.
  3. Onboarding, 10 business days. Access, kickoff call, tracking, profile overhaul, technical blockers, AI readiness foundation, week-one report, 30-day plan.
  4. Monthly cycle. Week 1 report and priorities; week 2 content and on-page; week 3 citations, mentions, profile posts and photos; week 4 technical check, review replies, QA. Weekly: review responses within 48 hours, profile checks, ranking drop alerts.
  5. Quarterly review. A 30-minute call: progress versus baseline and the 90-day plan, competitor moves, next quarter.

What does a typical month look like?

For a Growth client, a month contains roughly the list below. Starter clients get the profile, citation, review-template and technical items with a monthly report; content, competitor tracking and the weekly email are Growth features. Exact deliverables are in your 30/60/90 plan and then in each monthly plan.

  • Monthly report by the 5th, with a three-minute recorded walkthrough
  • Two answer-first service pages or posts, approved by you before publishing
  • One existing service page rewritten to the answer-first pattern
  • Citation submissions and NAP corrections
  • One or two corroboration actions: an association directory, a local press pitch, a chamber listing
  • Profile posts, new photos, Q&A answers
  • Every review answered within 48 hours, in generic wording that never confirms someone is a patient
  • Technical health check including AI crawler access and llms.txt
  • AI mention tracking: 10 prompts, five assistants, three runs each
  • A short email every Monday: numbers this week, what we did, what is next, what we need from you

How long does local SEO take for a clinic?

Map pack movement in 60 to 90 days. Organic rankings for competitive terms in 6 to 12 months. First AI assistant mentions 2 to 4 months after the foundation work. These are typical ranges from practices that start with a claimed profile and a working website. A practice with a suspended profile, a new domain or almost no reviews sits at the long end.

We state these numbers before you sign, and they are what the 90-day delivery exit is built around: the deliverables are in your plan with dates, and if any are missing at day 90 you can leave at once. Rankings themselves are not promised, because Google sets them.

What does it cost?

Starter is $800–1,200 a month, Growth is $1,500–2,500 a month, Multi-Location is $1,200–1,800 per location, each with a one-time setup fee of $750–1,500. The pricing page has a full comparison table and the terms. If you are not ready for a retainer, the $900 AI Readiness Setup covers the foundation with no commitment.

Which clinics is this written for?

Every clinic type uses the same six parts. The categories, the directories, the questions patients ask and the advertising rules differ, so there is a page for each:

Frequently asked questions

What is the map pack and why does it matter for a clinic?

The map pack is the block of three businesses shown on a map at the top of Google when someone searches for a local service. For clinic searches it sits above the normal results and takes most of the clicks and calls. Getting into it for your core services in your own ZIP code and the ones next to it is the first job of local SEO.

How long does local SEO take to work for a clinic?

Google Business Profile and map pack movement usually shows in 60 to 90 days. Organic rankings for competitive terms such as “dental implants Austin” take 6 to 12 months. These are ranges, not promises, and they depend on your starting point, your reviews and your competitors.

What is a geo-grid and why do you use it?

A geo-grid checks your map ranking at 49 points on a 7 by 7 grid around your practice, one mile apart. It shows where you appear and where you are invisible, which a single ranking number cannot. It is recorded at baseline and every week after.

Do you write the content or do I?

We write it, you approve it. Growth clients get two answer-first pages a month. Every clinical page is checked for claims, credited to a licensed provider at your practice as reviewer, and sent to you before it is published. Nothing goes live without your approval.

Will you ask my patients for reviews?

We set up the system and the wording; your team sends the request, usually by text within 24 hours of the visit. Every patient is asked, nobody is filtered first, and nobody is offered anything for a review. Those are Google and FTC rules and we follow them. More on the compliance page.

What do you need access to?

Manager access to your Google Business Profile, an administrator account on your website, editor access on GA4 and full user access on Search Console. Always as an added manager, never as the owner, and never your personal Google password.

Do you also do the AI search work or is that separate?

It is part of every tier. Crawler access, llms.txt and FAQ schema are in Starter. Growth and Multi-Location add monthly tracking of whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot name your practice for 10 set prompts. See AI search visibility.
